ales for autism- sensory overload

Yesterday, April 2, was National Autism Awareness Day – something that is very near and dear to my heart. I have been working with kids who have been diagnosed since the summer of 2006 and love them all – very much. In honor, I attended Autism Charlotte’s “Ales for Autism- Sensory Overload” event at Noda Brewery Tuesday evening. Several of my close friends are on the committee and I was so proud of them- they did an amazing job. The weather was perfect – we enjoyed some ales, king of pops, a bbq food truck, live music by Joe McCready {download his awesome songs on ITunes} raffle prizes, David French prints, and great chats with amazing people. It was wonderful.
