a simply love gift giveaway- lululemon's 'the mat'
happy wellness wednesday
i am so excited for this gift giveaway …
yogis – get really excited!!
*in honor of my sister’s new lululemon store opening in St. Louis on November 1, I have decided to buy and give away one of my very favorite products made by the company “the mat” to one of you.
*it’s perfect for hot yoga (or any yoga that you love!!)
about a year ago, my sister, Jess, the new store manager of the Maryland Plaza store in the Central West End, gave me ‘the mat’ as a gift and it instantly changed my hot yoga practice for the better- loved. after four years of practicing hot yoga, using a slippery yogitoe, to avoid sliding around on my mat, the first time I used ‘the mat’ felt so liberating – it’s simply fantastic!! therefore, i am thrilled to give one away to one of you – i hope it makes you as happy as it makes me to practice on this aMaZinG mat. 🙂

I am so excited about your mat giveaway! I have been practicing yoga off and on for over 6 years. My best friend introduced me to a Baron Baptiste Hot Vinyasa yoga studio in Charlotte, NC by the name of Yoga One. In the beginning I began going simply for the exercise. Surrounding myself with a bunch of yogi bodies was definitely inspiring and motivating! After fully committing myself to the practice for two years, I was in the BEST shape of my life, but…something was different. Peace, clarity and silence are all things I've struggled to achieve within my mind. YEARS of anxiety, exhaustion and illness from stress constantly plagued me. It was not part of the plan but MAN, WAS I NOW A HAPPY LADY! I fell out of the yoga practice for a few years, making the attempt to go at random times hoping the routine would fall into place once again but it never happened. HOWEVER, I've since recommitted! I have been fully practicing 3-4x a week since July of this year and couldn't be happier! I went to a 6am class today and realized that I am in desperate need of a new mat…I would love to experience my practice without the Yogitoes towel slipping and sliding all over the place! Love your blog! Have a great day. Namaste.

Hi Nella! 🙂 It was so wonderful to meet you yesterday! Your blog is beautiful!
Yoga helps me to live in the moment! It reminds me to be still and focus on my breath. Yoga grounds me and inspires me to nourish my body and mind. Yoga helps me to stay in tune with my spiritual self. Yoga makes me feel more alive!
Many blessings,

Hey Janell! Okay I love my yoga practice because it has helped me find a center during life's most stressful times! The body awareness, breath control, flexibility and strength gained from yoga have all been assets in my roles as a wife, pediatric dentist, and parent — especially the two medication-free labors and subsequent lugging around of my two beautiful babies! Can't wait to get them into yoga as children, too! 🙂 Keep bloggin', sister!

Yoga has helped me with some back pain I've gotten from sitting too much at work!

Yoga simply makes me feel wonderful. The poses in my practice create such wonderful space in my body to breathe, to focus, and to relax. Yoga is something I think about in moments outside of class and then think of a way to apply breathing or balance or stretching right where I'm standing, sitting, or lying. Yoga is an important part of my life!

I'm new at yoga and I just had a baby 2.5 months ago and I'm so out of shape! But doing yoga has helped me to relax and feel strong and in control with my body. Yoga is awesome! My goal is to run a half marathon next year and while yoga is not running, it strengthens my body nevertheless and makes me sore the next day. I'm excited to continue doing yoga the rest of my life. Thank you for the giveaway!

To me, yoga is a time for fullfilling and centering selfishness. It is the ultimate way to take time for yourself and forget all your stress and worries for an hour. It is a way to rid those stressors and prepare rejuvenate yourself so that you're ready for the journey ahead. IT is a time of perspective. It is a time calm. It is the ultimate form of self care. It has given me a space to be calm and free when everything else is out of control. Yoga = amazing for mind. body, and spirit!
