two sweet visitors in charlotte and treats from ohio…

our first visitors in the new nest…
my brother, alex, and his awesome girlfriend, jana, came to visit us last wed-sunday~
here is a re-cap of the trip- we had a blast- thank you both for coming!! 

~ today we are heading to litchfield beach with the entire monaco family 
until next saturday, august 17
… really looking forward to it! 
thankful to end this (best one ever) summer with a week at the beach.

*i am planning on blogging there and am excited to share wedding/honeymoon photos when we return to charlotte! 

*best wishes to my sister, jess, today as she runs a half marathon in vancouver, canada!

wednesday 7.31 we had dinner in the arts district at cabo fish taco- delicious. 

thursday 8.1 ~ we walked to brunch at zada jane’s cafe, enjoyed happy hour at whiskey warehouse (with the now 21 year olds- yay!!) and then tailgated & rocked out at the kenny chesney concert that night… 

friday 8.2~ i was yearning for an active day so we walked to rent bikes and did a ‘bike, boutiques, bakeries, and brews tour’ around charlotte… it was a great time!! 
then we went to the n.c music factory to a bier garden, followed by a lot of laughing with tom arnold at the comedy zone~ he was fantastic!!
*we finished the night poppin a lil bubbly- lots to celebrate these days.

saturday 8.3~ their fifth anniversary- 🙂 we started the day with a trip to starbuck’s, spent the day at the national whitewater center where we went whitewater rafting, had lunch, and drank some beers- that evening, we went to chima – an amazing brazilian steakhouse- and then danced the night away at irish pubs in uptown – loved.

best band i’ve ever experienced in charlotte at ri ra’s and there’s been a lot of great ones! 

… my mom sent sweet treats along ~ lemon zucchini bread, chocolate chip cookies, and chicken soup

thank you, mom! an amazing surprise – felt like home to me.

    You sure do know how to host some visitors. AMAZING visit! LOVE me some paper skyscraper…! Have fun at the beach!
