road tripping with a toddler | ten tips

thank you to Cybex for kindly sponsoring this post. all opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.

-twenty-seven weeks with my sweet summer boy-
in april, parks and i will be making another trip to the midwest to see family and friends. it’s about an eight-hour drive, without stops. this can easily turn into an extra hour or two with a toddler, which sometimes means we have to get creative. parks loves the car (he always has) and enjoys looking for every school bus and truck along the way. however, he does get restless from time to time. hopefully, these toddler survival tips for a road trip will help you on your next adventure.

ten survival tips for traveling with a toddler |
01. wrap a few (already owned) toys for your child to open or fill a wipes container with scraps of fabric
02. remember to bring lovey/blanket/favorite stuffed animal
03. leave early, at naptime, or travel through the night
04. interactive books, a playlist ready with kids songs, and videos
05. plan strategic stops ahead of time (if possible)
06. bring snacks (lots of snacks)
07. play at every stop
08. have your diaper bag packed and ready to go for stops
09. keep toys where your child can easily reach them
10. travel with the cybex sirona m sensorsafe 2.0 convertible car seat; allowing you to be worry-free with a car seat that has one-of-a-kind child safety protection features.
+ this car seat integrates important safety technology into the chest clip of the car seat to alert parents when unsafe situations arise. originally developed to prevent the rising number of infant hot car deaths, the cybex sirona m with sensorsafe 2.0 goes a step further to monitor the well-being of the child while the vehicle is in motion. whether you accidentally leave the child alone in the car or the child unbuckles herself/himself, the essential alert will go off through both the vehicle receiver and the care giver’s cell phone (there is an app for monitoring. please note: it is illegal to operate a cell phone in most states and the app is not required to use this feature. always be safe, loves)
+ adjustable linear side impact protection system: whether rearward or forward-facing, the cybex sirona m with sensorsafe 2.0 features an adjustable linear side-impact protection system (L.S.P), increasing the level of safety in case of a side-impact collision. this system can be individually adjusted on the door facing side of the car seat and can absorb up to 25% more impact forces in a side-impact collision in combination with the head and shoulder protectors.
+ 12-position height adjustable headrest with a no-rethread harness
+ rearward installation up to 40 lbs, forward-facing up to 65 lbs

he is so excited to be in his new ‘seat!’ parks helped me unbox this car seat and he was so, so excited!
-he also loves that he is facing forward now-
and i felt so much better turning him around knowing that this car seat is incredibly (top-of-the-line) safe
