strawberry fields
a morning with my boys at carrigan farms
we spent this morning picking strawberries at a nearby farm and after everything these past few months… it felt pretty magical. we slowly wandered around the rows of luscious greens; the ripe strawberries were overflowing. parks was very excited to be on an adventure and nash loved bringing berries to the basket his big brother was proudly carrying. i could have lingered for so long and the breeze and sunshine on our faces was delightful. the boys… they loved it. we hope to make some fresh fruit smoothies and maybe some baked goods later this week. and might venture to another farm soon… peaches are on our radar next.
it was really sunny + hard to see, but i snapped a few photos … i also wanted to just take it all in.
this one sums up their personalities:
-ready to explore-
finding ‘tiny, perfect things’ he said
“live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find eternity in each moment.”

we picked up a few scoops of ice cream afterwards at two scoops creamery
i have my eye on this strawberry buttermilk cake and strawberry almond milk
i didn’t know what they would think – but i think they are little farmers
i think we have a new tradition
hopefully around mother’s day yearly we can explore local orchards
