It started with a heart transplant. I couldn’t find the right Mother’s Day gift for my mom after her surgery, so I made her a bangle in memory of her donor with angel wings and a charm with the EE Cummings quote. Since then, my fascination and passion for taking discarded items and giving them a new purpose has manifested into CLT Boutique, where I make jewelry, accessories, shirts, and other handmade goods. I am currently selling online and at local markets in Charlotte where my most popular items are bangles and upcylced vintage statement necklaces. Each piece of jewelry comes with a custom linen bag for storage.

the ee cummings’ poem was read at both my sister’s wedding and at mine
above is our beautiful church, st. peter’s catholic church in uptown charlotte, where we were married on june 29, 2013. my role model growing up- my cousin’s now wife, shelley, read the poem while my husband and i lit our unity candle using our baptismal candles. and now i am giving my sister this quote in honor of my son’s baptism- so it meant a lot to me.
my cousin, brian, dated shelley from 7th grade on… and she became such an important part of my life. i want to be half the mom she is… she is incredible. her daughter, ansley, was our precious flower girl on our wedding day. i look up to her in so many other ways as well…

she was my loving/fun babysitter, cheerleading mentor turned teaching mentor, confirmation sponsor, and the first one to know what gender parks was – she put the blue balloons in the box for us {and knew three weeks before us and i was completely ok with that!} i love her dearly.

What I love most about Target is that I can pretty much get everything I need in one store, groceries, clothes/shoes and household goods. I love their prices and the 5% redcard discount is great!
