simply loving: a dream closet

When I thought about my “dream closet” based on Compass,
a new real estate platform based in NY, and the amazing listings on
their site, visions of my fairy tale closet popped into my head
immediately. Growing up with a father who made dream closets a reality
(Albinson’s Clutter-Free Closets in Ft. Pierce. Fl) I always had the
best of the best for the space I had, but I have never had enough space
for my true “dream closet”. If I could create my ultimate closet fantasy
it would be big and uncluttered, have an island for my jewelry, would
always have fresh flowers on the island, have a chandelier, leopard
print carpet, a fabulous chair for sitting or draping clothes over, and
to be really over the top…a silver vintage champagne bucket on a stand. I
found a few pictures that, put together, kind of create a vision of
what I have in mind! – See more at:

recently, i found myself browsing an amazing site, compass, which has thousands of incredible real estate listings {we aren’t looking to buy at the moment- we just built a new home last fall} but i love looking for inspirations. one room that i would love to transform is our master closet. there is so much potential… it’s pretty big! yay. this will be down the road, but it got me thinking… what would my dream closet look like? my ideal look would be light, airy, feminine, and functional with vintage accents, industrial lighting, and tons of personal touches.
here are some inspirations that i am simply loving:

these floors are my ultimate favorites
if my whole house was consisted of these- i would be SO IN LOVE.
i love the whitewash wood walls, baskets, and light/airy clothes
this screams feminine and i adore it.
i would also incorporate fresh peonies/florals

aztec rugs are so beautiful- and a great way to add a pop of color to your space
this anthropologie pink/blush couch is just my style
such a great idea of having the clothes below
and a shelf for storage, accessories and a gold vintage mirror above
say goodbye to tangled necklaces by hanging them on cute hooks
how fun is this idea if your closet is limited/you don’t have one?!
the pops of color with the white bed and floors are amazing
… and this bed is MY DREAM.
dreamy industrial lighting- so simple and elegant
light, bright, and airy- my ideal atmosphere
a large black and white photo is right up my alley
along with this stool, shelves and all of the decor!
i would have books everywhere and tons of cool storage bins
                                  {and a dream baby closet as a bonus- just for you, moms!!}

                                                              what about you?
what would your dream closet look like?

*on another note, extra prayers for my family this weekend/next week would be very much appreciated. as we approach the anniversary of some of our very darkest days one year ago, your prayers would mean so much. i am trying to focus on the greater and more important things in life {and not the pettiness we often encounter} as we remember the life of an incredible {and much loved} man.
