surround yourself with good people
…i saw this and had to share…
i decided to re-evaluate my relationships a little over a year ago
and it’s been life-changing.
instead of spending time with people who tend to talk about other people and put people down–
i decided to find people who make me hungry for life, who touch my heart, and nourish my soul.
at the end of the day, i want to look back on my life and be proud of the people i surround myself with- people who are positive and see the greatness in me.
i feel that the best way to understand a person is to look at the company they keep.
it’s so important.
and i want to be proud of those that i chose to spend this one life with-
people of good character; with genuine souls
those who help me grow and love at my highest and deepest potential.

I JUST had this same conversation with my fiance yesterday. We were talking about how we have less friends than we did in college, but then realized that each friend brings something good in to our life- inspires us in some way or brings out the best in us. Before we just had tons of friends to go party with or someone to talk to, but they didn't really add anything of substance to our lives. It's so much better this way!

couldn't agree with you more! it's so different now and I love the genuine friendships I have! plus, I am blessed with my high school friends- who I have known since kindergarten {with zero drama} and adore! ♥ It's all about living a life – with people who bring out the best in you! 🙂

This is something that I am working on right now. It sucks but I just don't want to be around ppl I don't like or don't bring out the best in me.
