reading | darling magazine – simply perfect for a ‘dreamer’ like myself. in my opinion, it is the most inspiring, sweet, passionate piece of literature out there today; the art of being a woman. i love their mission and wish i could get a copy out to every girl in high school. i love the simple truth that is written within the beautiful pages of this magazine. i am pretty proud of who i have become … but it {sadly} took me until my mid 20’s to have the confidence and independence that i do today. i have more work to do for sure… but am very happy. have you ever read it? i definitely recommend <3
pinning | bathroom ideas … we plan to focus on decorating our master bathroom next. stay tuned for an inspiration board and before/after posts!
eating | i have been focused on mixing up nutritious and delicious smoothies lately – so good and refreshing.
anticipating | another road trip this weekend! … a confession: it took me until yesterday to realize that we are not going to baltimore … but annapolis, maryland for a dear friend’s wedding. talk about last minute planning and ‘being along for the ride!’ … and i couldn’t be more excited about this news. one of my favorite blog readers, sweet rachel of little blue sailboat lives there and i have always wanted to visit. it sounds dreamy- a bay, row houses, seafood, cafes, cute shops – we only have a few hours before the wedding but, i can’t wait! we are traveling with one of our favorite couples from charlotte so it should be a fun time – what’s your go-to road trip snack? {the ‘no calorie counting’ type}!! i usually pick up cooler ranch doritos, sour patch kids, peanut butter m & m’s. peanut butter crackers, coffee… i really like peanut butter. and mr. monaco and i ALWAYS get hot tamales and play buzz feed quizzes together- laughing at the topics and results. would love to hear your favorite treats… i feel like this is an important topic in life. right?!
listening to | “always on my mind” by michael buble on norah jones’ pandora station {of course willie nelson’s version is ideal- with my country roots} but this version is oh-so beautiful, too. i have always adored this song- the lyrics are so lovely.

So I'm totally disgusting but I LOVE Oreo Cakesters. They are like oreos in fuffy "cake" form. And any type of Chex Mix. YUM. Have fun on your trip!

I have not read Darling but it sounds like a wonderful, inspiring magazine. Have fun on your road trip! Road trip snacks are the best–I also love PB m&ms and pretzel m&ms. And White Cheddar Cheez-Its. Now I'm getting hungry…

Annapolis is just as cute and breathtaking as it sounds!! Enjoy. 🙂 I've been seeing this Darling magazine everywhere lately, and I think I'm going to have to get my hands on it…. I always love to get a bag of popcorn or some Skittles for road trips depending on if I'm craving salty or sweet!
