coffee tour planning

as mr. monaco and i spent two days painting the main living space in our new home, ‘ellie gray’ {update post coming soon, i promise} i was inspired by my sister, jess, and her husband, bassey, who recently started doing a ‘coffee tour’ on sundays. we love the idea… and next week it will begin in charlotte- as it continues in st. louis. we plan to attend an earlier mass at our church uptown and then hope to go to a coffee shop/cafe to read, chat, sip some tea and coffee. such a great idea and way to set aside time each week for one another and for some solitude to write, read, pray. thank you for the inspiration, eno-idems. i will be sharing photos and a hashtag- would love for you to join!

we went with a sherwin william’s paint color called ellie gray- in benjamin moore paint.

i went to blackhawk hardware in the park road shopping center- adore that place. 

the people are so helpful, genuine, and nice- you feel like you have walked back into a mid-century hometown hardware store- so refreshing- i always leave with a smile. 

we also said goodbye to our beloved white flocked christmas tree this weekend, which we picked out and put up the day we signed, december 15 – it was such a special day. we walked into our new house with nothing but a christmas tree and enjoyed some wine and music while we decorated together. so it was sad to depart, but everything looks so fresh now!

we absolutely LOVE the gray… 

all of the white accents/cabinets in that area of our house are poppin’.
