a grateful heart + welcome 2015

thank you so much for reading in 2014  you have all brought so much to my life.
i came out a better person – thanks to your love and support.
last week, emily at ember grey posted this beautiful quote, which really struck me:

“what if you wake up some day, and you’re 65 or 75, and you never got your memoir or novel written; or you didn’t go swimming in warm pools and oceans all those years because your thighs were jiggly and you had a nice big comfortable tummy; or you were just so strung out on perfectionism and people-pleasing that you forgot to have a big juicy creative life, of imagination and radical silliness and staring off into space like when you were a kid? it’s going to break your heart. don’t let this happen. pick a new direction, one you wouldn’t mind ending up at, and aim for that. shoot the moon.”
 – anne lamott, bird by bird.

so powerful.
thank you so much for sharing, emily
extending well wishes to each of you for a wonderful new year
hopefully one full of joy, creativity, love;
here’s to one crazy messy- yet beautiful- year ahead.

soon i plan to share my goals {both personally and in blog land- excited for a great year- lots of new ideas} my one word for 2015, and this year’s inspiration board, but first,
what is your favorite memory of 2014? i would love to hear…
our new home / celebrations / people / events / travels / nature

a special thank you to kasia at dipped in rococo {my favorite polish friend} for this inspiration

it’s been quite the year for finding myself and my true desires, and i’ve been incredibly grateful to have so many extraordinary people in my life (including you!) who constantly encourage me and support my aspirations, and i feel like it’s important that i hold myself to the highest standard so that i’m always striving to be my best self. ‘if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.’ right?

-this year was my best yet-

i laughed more than i have in the past
my love for my husband grew so much deeper,
as we explored our city, went on mini dates, and built a new nest together

my friendships grew stronger,

as i found meaningful, spiritual and many new genuine people to surround myself with,

along with many old ones as well.
i found some new strengths and many many weaknesses that i had never realized.

i complained far too much,

and discovered new smile lines on my face.

i grew, i cried, i learned,
i continued to dream about living my best life possible.
Grateful Heart Linkup w/ Ember Grey
i am very much looking forward to sharing this next year with you all!
grateful for the opportunity and so excited to continue building relationships and creating new ones.

Beautiful post! And I just bought a very similar bud vase thing (top right pic in your second photo grid) from World Market! Perhaps it's the same one…
