motherhood
i was so inspired by stephanie nielson’s post today
on her extraordinary blog, nienie dialogues
that i thought i would share with you all
she’s such an inspiration to so many.
“Mothers, cherish that role that is so uniquely yours and for which heaven itself sends angels to watch over you and your little ones.
Yours is the work of salvation, and therefore you will be
magnified, compensated, made more than you are, better than you are,
and better than you have ever been. You are doing terrifically well.
The very fact that you have been given such a responsibility is
everlasting evidence of the trust your Father in Heaven has in you.
He is blessing you and He will bless you, even—no, especially—when your days
and your nights may be the most challenging. Rely on Him. Rely on Him heavily. Rely on Him forever. And “press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope.”
hope you had a great friday!
are you a mother?
do you agree/can you relate to her?

Only 6 months in and I totally agree. I've been a bit under the weather this week and it's been pretty challenging. In the past when I've been sick, I lie on the couch all day, drifting in and out of naps while I watch TV, sipping hot tea and soup trying to get back to 100%. But I'm not my sole responsibility anymore. Max comes first, so there have been no naps for mommy this week. Law & Order: SVU marathons have been running but I haven't really watch them because I'm playing with Max. I still have a raging cough and I'm exhausted…but the innate need for me to be there for my baby has helped me push through and be Mommy, all day, every day. My biggest worry in all of this is the possibility of getting Max sick.

I am not a Mother, but this message is so inspiraion and I cannot wait for the day in which I can acomplish all of this! I feel like Motherhood is the greatest calling, one I am yearning to fill and know that I will always try my best. Such an honour to raise children in the light and love of Christ.
I love Stephanie, I constantly check her blog and she is such an inspiring person, mother and daughter of God. I have so much love for her.
