a bohemian woodland baby shower {part one}

today i am sharing a very special day with you all… my hometown baby shower in ohio, which took place on sunday, september 27. the gathering was hosted by my mom and sister {but as always, my dad and brother also played a big role!} i am very thankful for all of the planning and hard work that was put into the party. most of all, i adored being able to celebrate baby monaco with my family and close friends. i kept getting emotional looking around at all of the people there; people i have known my whole life and don’t get to see very often. growing up in a small town was an extraordinary experience and the people are what made it so special. no matter where i have gone in my life {throughout both good times and bad times} these are the people who have always been there for me. it’s a simple place- full of so much love. and love is what i felt that entire day. my sister and i created an inspiration board this summer – we both loved the boho/rustic look for little man. we grew to love pinterest/facetime dates with my mom over wedding planning and it was fun to collaborate again. jess helped with the decor, games, favors, and details. {and went to anthropologie two days before- when i was really sick- to look for a dress- so sweet!!} my mom also did so much- the delicious food, florals, linens, renting the coffee shop {loved so much}, decor, beverage bar, and her famous cookies {mimi’s cookies were a hit!} – thank you, mom! my dad and brother ran tons of errands and helped to set-up the space that morning. here are some photos… i will be sharing more photos and info {esp. about the invitations and little details} over the next few days/weeks.
