a clean products feature | beautycounter + a giveaway

this post was sponsored. all opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
thank you so much for supporting this blog.
i started converting products and lifestyle choices to safe ingredients and practices at the beginning of this year, and was so hesitant to dig into my makeup bag and skin care routines because ignorance is bliss, right? i am taking this process slow and am taking on one or two different goals each month. after reading and hearing some eye-opening facts about the effects of toxins on our health, i knew i couldn’t ignore it any longer. honestly, i wasn’t expecting to find clean ingredient products that i love as much as i do with this company but i feel like i hit the jackpot when i tried beautycounter (and i am thankful for annie for reaching out to me- she is so sweet and has been incredibly helpful). here is my honest experience and a round-up of some of my wow-factor faves for skin and body care. in addition, i am giving away one of my very favorites to one of you.

some of my favorite products so far |
this nutrient-rich kaolin clay mask purifies and balances, absorbing excess oil and drawing out impurities. activated charcoal minimizes the appearance of pores, giving skin a smooth, refined appearance while salicylic acid stimulated exfoliation. perfect for all skin types and those concerned with congestion and oily skin.
active-infused and alcohol-free, this revitalizing mist preps skin, sets makeup, and refreshes throughout the day. specially formulated with charcoal powder and kaolin clay, it absorbs excess oil, refines skin texture, and helps reduce redness. i have a major problem with redness in my skin and have noticed an extreme difference. perfect for all skin types and those concerned with clarity, calming, and balancing.

lightweight and silky smooth, the proprietary blend of seven natural oils moisturizes, smooths, and helps even skin tone. softening meadow foam seed oil restores balance, while wild chamomile calms and soothes skin. my skin felt so soft and i could see a drastic change in the way it looked when using this product.
this bar has been a game-changer for me. it has cleared up major problem areas for me and again, i consider it to be a huge favorite. so thankful to have found this product. it detoxifies and absorbs impurities in your skin without drying it out, resulting in a smoother, brighter complexion. the charcoal bar is made with antioxidant-rich, organic green tea and hydrating coconut oil, the gentle formula can be used on your face and body daily (i kept this in the shower). so life-changing.
(the face oils and serums are calling my name next)
skin at its peak performance. this lightweight lotion helps skin adapt to the ever-changing aggressors of modern life by adjusting hydration levels throughout the day for a smooth look and feel, and a radiant glow. endless possibilities in this jar!
nourish thirsty skin- it’s fast-absorbing and smells so lovely. it contains a moisturizing blend of marula, mongongo, and safflower seed oils, plus shea and jojoba butter. this helped my skin to stay smooth and supple all day long.
this melts into your skin to hydrate, while it cleanses, removes makeup and other impurities but doesn’t strip away moisture. with vitamin c to brighten the appearance of skin and raspberry and cranberry seed oils to hydrate, the formula can also be used as an intensely nourishing face mask. bonus? you also get a reusable muslin cloth, which is softer and easier on skin than a traditional washcloth.
lock in moisture as you sleep for skin that looks and feels smoother, firmer, and more hydrated by morning. it is formulated with marine extracts and safflower. i definitely felt like my skin was significantly more hydrated each morning.
this softened and nourished my skin so much but i also loved using this on parks’ skin. it is designed for newborns and up- absorbing easily without ever feeling greasy.
two other favorites: the concealer (favorite of all-time) and this adorable gift for a new baby: baby bundle collection

a few things to note |
+ a little of each product goes a long way!
+ if you want to switch to safer, start small. what are you law/out of now? start there? you will make the full switch eventually.
+ you are going to pay a little more when you go for organic foods at the grocery store, so you can expect a similar comparison with beauty products. although, i was both a drug-store and higher-end beauty product user before and i do not see much of a difference. what i have learned? to shift my priorities and budget for my health… you are worth it and this part of life is so important.
+ remember that you can get products for half off or for free if you host a social. it’s simple and fun and annie can help you get everything set-up. she is so generous and i have truly loved collaborating with her. plus, the products have blown me away!!
another great feature |
you can become a member for $29 a year. it’s called ‘band of beauty member’ and in return, you will receive 15% product credit on every order, free shipping on orders over $100, a complimentary welcome gift, and more! more info here
