today i celebrate two years of blogging. two years of inspirations, connections, ideas, new friendships- people who have inspired me in so many ways to live a better life. blogging has made me feel complete. there was a part of me that was missing for years. as a little girl, i had a creative soul and spirit {i was actually inducted into the honors program in 4th grade- not based on my test scores- but instead, my teacher fought to have me included because of my creativity} so to be able to explore the beauty in life through photos, quotes, and collaborations with others has been the missing piece in my life. in honor, i will be giving away a 2015 inspirational calendar – photos and info about entering below! all are welcome to join as a ‘thank you’ for all of the love and support you have given me. thank you so much. i have big plans for this year- hoping to include more fashion ideas, wedding advice, events/gatherings, diy projects, scripture, link-ups, giveaways, and possibly even a new series called, ‘movie mondays’ where i explore old cinema with my husband. hoping this all plays out- some extra time with mr. monaco and exploring black and white/classic movies… super excited about this! hoping to start after farmer chris picks his wife. as a proud farm community, country gal- ecstatic about this whole season. it’s great to see small-town, america being represented. adore the genuineness and ‘work hard- play hard mentality’ in his demeanor.
how cute is this calendar… up for grabs! enter below through rafflecopter!
it comes with a cute wooden stand! perfect for your desk- or blogging area.
thank you for loving, simply love.
my word for 2015 is simplify.
when i looked up the definition of simplify in the dictionary, this phrase stood out:
to reduce to basic essentials
we have already begin this process as we moved into our new home. we went through bins and bins and bins {at one point, my mom and i had cleared out 18 bins} our home is organized and we have de-cluttered. i hope to continue this process throughout all aspects of my life. it feels so good. the list of words i brainstormed with God over the past month gives me insight into what some of those essentials might be: slow, grace, quiet, appreciate, and relationships. i also hope to focus more on the things that really matter {relationships with people i love} as i slow down, quiet my spirit, abide in Christ, appreciate what i have, and love the people God has placed in my life. with His blessing and a whole lot of grace, perhaps 2015 might be the year i finally learn to simplify.
have you ever chosen one word as a guiding word or theme for your year? what are some of the words you’ve chosen in the past and what word did you select for 2015? i would love the chance to cheer you on!
…on another note, i attended my second inspiration board night at a place in land studio in mt. holly, north carolina – i attended last year and absolutely loved it- so i attended again this year. it is always the sunday before we go back to school after winter break and is always a calming night for me. here are some photos from this year’s class:
Aw, happy 2 year blogiversary!! This is so exciting!
What a fabulous giveaway, too. I've got to get my hands on that hot air balloon print!! Eeep!
