we traveled to cincinnati over the weekend to celebrate my adorable nephew, julius imoh, turning one. i think about this a lot. there isn’t much that tops being together with your loved ones- watching the littles play and catching up over coffee and laughing/reminiscing and just being.

my brother and his wife were also in town from denver

sunday was a slow day- and it was wonderful. my sister and i strolled the boutiques (they are the most stunning/eclectic shops) in over-the-rhine on vine street. i can’t get over how much cincinnati has changed over the past decade- i have always loved it- but it’s just so amazing now. just so good. so many great areas + artsy influences. spending time with my sister while my parents watched the kids (their dream these days) was just what i think we all needed. we strolled, got fresh juice, met new people, enjoyed a mani/pedi and then had wine at oakley wines with our husbands for an afternoon double-date. finally, we ended the night with spicy ethnic takeout (fave) + being together was the best.
