an afternoon tea for two

as a family, my husband and i try to spend individual time with our children and lately, i have gone on a date with both of my sons. the younger son and i went to a flower field a few days before he turned six and we picked a jar full. he loves flowers and baking (we went to a bakery after) and art. my other son loves sports and reading most so i took him to a local tea house (one of my very favorite spots in the charlotte area / it’s in monroe, north carolina and is called, a cause for tea) where we read, enjoyed treats, and played a baseball card game. he also loves to antique and thrift with me so we did that afterwards.
