an easter basket for parks

easter is coming soon and so is the easter bunny… even before i became a mom, i loved making my husband an easter “basket” each year. now, as a mom of a toddler, i really enjoy creating a basket for him. however, i think this is the first year that parks will actually understand what is happening (yay!) next year, i might take a toy dump truck or wagon and fill the back with treats but here is what i created for this year.

what i included |
+ a vintage romper for summer . pipsqueaks_in_plaid on instagram
+ gingham bow tie . target $1 spot
+ wooden carrot car . target $1 spot
+ mini stuffed bunny . target
+ pouch and fruit snack . starbuck’s
+ wooden farm pieces . target $1 spot
+ stackable carrot toy . target $1 spot
+ bath bubbles . babyganics (he loves bubbles and making ‘bubble beards’)
+ bunny slippers . gap
+ sidewalk chalk . target
+ a few candy eggs . target
+ i am also going to pick up a slice of banana bread from starbuck’s the day before (his favorite)

a similar wicker basket

if you are looking for some non-candy ideas for your kids, here is a list of 56 ideas

in addition, here are some ideas for the adults in your life … and my kids are totally getting baskets for life. again, i love playing the easter bunny!

the little bunny slippers are too cute- i can’t wait to see parks running around in them…

another deep love: pouches!

here is last year’s basket for parks
…
what are you planning on including in your kids’ baskets this year?

This is so sweet!! We bought Phoenix a stuffed plush (small) BB8 (he loves Star Wars it's so funny) and a book, 123 with C3PO. It's a counting book with characters from Star Wars.

So cute! I'm trying to be intentional with Easter baskets every year and am avoiding getting a bunch of toys (even the small, cheap ones) because we have SO. MANY. TOYS! Each year I plan to get each kid a new bathing suit for the upcoming summer and maybe some new sunnies. This year in particular, I also got the big kids a coloring book and drawing pad (both from Target $1 spot) and some bubbles. For baby Marco I got a set of new sleepers (the cloud island brand from Target…love!) and a teether rattle and cutie clip from Ryan and Rose.
