christmas | snapshots and reflections

{new bremen, ohio}
good afternoon and happy new year to you
i hope your holiday season was memorable and that your heart felt both peaceful and joyous.
it was one of my favorites to date. we spent a lot of time with my family in the midwest and are currently visiting my husband’s brother and his family outside of philadelphia.
it really is the season of renewal and hope and reflection. i am feeling so grateful, for so much and for everything. but i am especially grateful for the family that has been placed in my arms, and the chance to share the spirit of the season together. God really is so good, to all of us.
{i created a table length cheeseboard for christmas day – lots of trader joe’s + aldi goodness)
it’s so bittersweet to say goodbye to a year that brought you something so beautiful
what i will remember most about this christmas |
+ my husband surprising me with a trip to charleston, south carolina earlier in the month
+ the fresh garland + twinkling lights
+ my momma’s homemade pumpkin roll
+ when parks walked into our home and saw that santa arrived
+ a 1940’s christmas music playlist
+ coffee chats with my sister
+ smoked salmon on christmas day
+ spending christmas with my 89 year old grandma
+ a cup of joe in hand, watching the tree lights scatter nash’s face
+ all the magic. and parks’ love for santa
+ visits with my hometown friends and cousins
+ playing and hugging and kisses my niece, leona
+ being asked to be in my brother’s wedding next september (along with my husband and parks, the little ring bearer)
+ taking in every moment of nash’s first christmas
+ thrifting with my mom – new pieces coming to ‘olive june market‘ soon
+ visiting terrain cafe in glen mills, pa. what a dream.
+ road trip snacks and movies
+ going to see ‘mary poppins returns’ with my mom and sister (complete with a glass of red wine, snacks – and lots of tears) it was so beautiful; so perfect.
+ celebrating nye at the ‘please touch’ museum in philly – the kids had so much fun.
some snapshots //
terrain (it exceeded all of my expectations- so in love)
my sister is due with my nephew/niece this upcoming february – so excited to meet him/her
it was everything- and more
a new baby, our health, time with loved ones, and the magic of christmas through the eyes of a two-year-old boy.
i hope yours was the same.

So many exciting things happening in your family! Your bro is getting married?! And a new niece/nephew?! Congratulations! Also, you may be my family's stylist. You all look so amazing!
