currently {april edition}
making | i spent this week putting together a gift basket for a charity event in charlotte on april 16 called ales for autism {more coming soon!} unfortunately, i will be in ohio this year but i always love attending this event and am so proud of my friends for putting on such a wonderful event. the basket will be part of a silent auction at the event, which takes place at noda brewing company. here is more information: 3rd annual ales for autism.
wishlisting | there is so much i would love to do in our home… paint, lighting, a new headboard, a new couch, an outdoor couch… however, i am going to be patient and now that it will come with time
cleaning | lots and lots of cloth diapers and bottles! also, mr. monaco and i had a ‘cleaning party’ which is something i loved to do with my family growing up and with my college roommates. we wanted to make sure our house was clean for our visitors tonight. we love to crank up the country music on the jambox, delegate, and conquer. i was hoping to get more down before he got home yesterday, but baby boy doesn’t allow me to leave his sight at the moment! also, is it just me or do the days fly by with a newborn!? they go by so, so fast.
posting | as i am posting this, parks james is sleeping in his crib for the first time; he’s peacefully taking a nap. i am hoping to continue posting some baby/mom posts – along with some diy projects, home inspirations, book reviews, style, recipes, etc.
tasting | let me just say that there isn’t a day that goes by that i am not thankful that i love almost every type of food. i love exploring and tasting new types of food and enjoy almost every type of cuisine. indian, mexican, and japanese are my favorites. what about you? plus, the farmer’s market i love most in charlotte just re-opened on april 1. so excited to hopefully purchase some fresh produce, meat, eggs, local jams, fresh flowers, and hopefully a hibiscus tree for our back patio soon.
he loves bath time now… yay!!
and mirrors.
i think he knows he’s a cutie.
wearing a cozy sweater this morning for errands – and i am so happy about it.
{heat/summer are not my friends- i prefer the coziness of a brisk day so much more}
what about you?
…what have you been up to…

I love almost every type of food too! Makes it easy. And your sweat looks so cozy! I would much rather wear cozy sweaters and boots than heat clothing too! And it is unfortunate that I live in Phoenix 🙂 PS- and yes your little boy is definitely a cutie 🙂

That door + window is so pretty. I have a really hard time with adult picky eaters…they are really missing out!

Oh that bathtime photo is too sweet! And I'm super jealous of these cuisines and farmers market… we moved back to our smallish hometown last summer and I'm missing the better variety of restaurants and earlier spring/summer arrival of where we were living before. Instead I got snow today here – eek! Thanks for linking up 🙂

I love most all foods too (except for chocolate because I'm weird)! It makes eating so fun to be able to try basically anything. I'm also with you on choosing a brisk day over the heat of the summer nearly all the time (unless I'm going to the pool or beach)!

Sweater: adorable and another reminder that I am in need of a wardrobe refresher – of things without elastic waistbands (they’ve been fun). NC sounds so quaint and cozy as with your posts about the farmers markets and small town living. I kind of miss that east coast charm (I’m originally from VA)…CA has been fun but everything you’ve described thus far makes me miss it.
Enjoy your little one! <3
