forty days of yoga- day 8


today’s class: 90 min of deep stretch (hot) 

teacher: lindsey 
what i walked away: too much to name. 

most importantly though– that when we’re breathing- everything is just how it should be – there is no need to change, or fix, or stress… just to be in the moment. 

i look back at when i moved to charlotte/before starting to practice yoga and i don’t even recognize that person- now, i am calmer, less stressed, and much more happy. i am in love. 

when i left yoga tonight, i went to trader joe’s (my favorite market) and picked up a cheap bouquet of flowers to celebrate one week straight of down dogs, twists, and core work … along with some ingredients to make this smoothie – recommended by my sister, jess…  you may remember her from my initial blog post in january! 

smoothie & flowers 

Smoothie Ingredients: 
1 tbs almond butter
1 tbs flax seed (ground) 
1/2 cup water
Handful of ice
1 cup raspberries
1 banana 
Handful of blueberries
1/2 cup spinach
in love with flax seed 

this vegetable wash is fantastic 

staying hydrated has been my biggest challenge this week … 

happy.
