snapchat filters on your insta stories

as most of you probably noticed yesterday, instagram has an exciting {at least i think so} feature… as long as it doesn’t take away from the amount of photos that are posted. give me all the photos. the new feature is pretty much just like snapchat {sans the super fun filters… i can’t get enough of that high pitched bee voice, fun sunglasses, puppy dog tongues, or the pretty flower crown! i just love that one.} however, i wanted to share with you how to get the filters on your stories. it takes a little bit more effort, but it’s possible! yay
1. {snapchat} make sure your photos/videos are being saved to your camera roll automatically (you can access/change this in your settings) or you can just save them to your memories (and then choose which ones you want to save if you don’t want them to all go onto your camera roll immediately)
2. {snapchat} pick a pretty filter and create your photo/video and then save it to your camera roll. again, you will need to export your snap through ‘memories’ if you don’t have it set to save automatically (in your settings).
3. {instagram} go to the homepage and click the {+} in the top left corner to start your ‘story’ … and then here is the trick … swipe down!!!  then you will have access to your camera roll and can choose your recently saved snaps. lastly, add it to your story by clicking the check mark.
and there you have it! it is super easy but yet takes a little bit more time. something tells me that insta might create their own filters soon? but until then… you can transfer them over if you want to! i hope this helps and happy snapping and insta story making to you.
i can’t wait to see what you all come up with- i love following people. they inspire me so much
please let me know if you have any questions! i would love to help you
