in my passport | chicago
over the weekend, my husband and i headed to chicago from my hometown in ohio to enjoy the city and visit my brother. we enjoyed time together while parks spent time with my parents. we stayed downtown near michigan avenue and were able to visit a lot of my favorite parts, savored delicious meals, good coffee, loved seeing christmas tree lots throughout and a trip to the christmas market brought me back to germany for an hour. before we left yesterday, we went to an old school used book store and then to the wormhole coffee shop in wicker park to read (beatle juice posters, old school nintendo, teal leather couches) it was an eclectic and fun atmosphere. a few other favorites not listed below: the violet hour for cocktails (one of the coolest bars i have ever been to), beatrix for brunch, and ramen takeya in the west loop (perfect during the cooler months.)
01 | my husband snapped this photo of me at dove’s luncheonette (it was a total dreamboat)
02 | the food is fabulous… i had the hash and my husband got the pancake, which came out sizzling
03 | the vibe was so perfect for us… old school diner feel for him + retro for her (a trip highlight!)
04 | charming older homes decorated for christmas in wicker park
05 | we enjoyed a stroll through eataly . my italian man was in heaven
06 | i adore the architecture in the windy city
07 | my first trip to jeni’s ice cream in old town – my sister’s all-time favorite. and i loved.
and i got to come home to this face. we went to pizza, danced, played cars and did bath time together
lastly, i launched a baby + kids collection in my boutique today!
hope you all enjoy the new line
