in our city | the batch house

“people first, cake second”

the batch house is a new bakery and coffee shop (hex coffee is served) opening near uptown charlotte tomorrow morning. the owner, known as the batch maker, has become a friend through the loving village of moms we are surrounded by. she is so sweet and so incredibly talented. cris is a self-taught baker and is known for her ‘batchboxes,’ which are boxes full of a variety of baked treats and for her community of people who love her- her work is the best i have ever tasted. truly- so good.
she is also known for her s’mores brownies
it’s located on the west side of charlotte near uptown | 1429 bryant st.
so proud of you, cris!
you have done such an amazing job on your new shop
-it’s absolutely gorgeous-
i met several friends there this past wednesday morning for the soft opening
it was very kid-friendly and felt cozy and warm and just like home
the wallpaper could not be more lovely
i had the oatmeal cream pie (little debbie would definitely be so proud) and an oat milk latte
rumor has it, she also has plans for ‘tea time’ . a private feel/reserved times with treats + tea
check out the menu here
i adore all of the vintage + personal touches throughout the space – it’s so beautiful.
the bathroom has some golden girls replica and says ‘stay golden’ on the wall – yes, girl.
if you’re local, you should stop by the batch house soon
you are going to love it.
