nursery inspiration
i am so excited to finally share my nursery inspiration for baby boy with you all… my hope is that the nursery is both comfortable for baby and for mr. monaco and i. i want it to be a space that is cozy, personal, and fits our style. i am not a big ‘theme person’ when it comes to nurseries {for us- but love so many that i have seen from others!} but i do have a vision for the space. i am hoping to make it bright and airy {lots of whites, light gray, crèmes} with wood textures and small pops of color {like mint green and baby blue} i have been ‘treasure hunting’ at flea markets and antique malls for the past few months; in hopes of making it a special space for our son on a budget. my style is often a mix of vintage, mid-modern century, and scandanavian. i am also hoping to add aztec designs, art, lighting, a variety of textures, and lots of books! the room is pretty small- so we are trying to make it as functional as possible- with lots of storage bins, hooks, and a hopefully organized closet space.
any advice?
…
how did you go about designing a special space for your baby?
if you have a post of your nursery, i would love to see it!!
— please post in the comments below if you do–
thank you in advance
…
i can’t wait to share what we end up doing with you all
i have told myself throughout the whole process that i just want to enjoy the process {no stress} and want to take it all slow… and so far, it’s gone really well.
one thing is true- i have looked at so many amazingly adorable and personal spaces
…
here is an adorable one: decor8
{two nursery photos are also from decor8}
…
i hope to share more about the process with you all soon
along with my usual inspiration photos on my thursday bump update posts
have a great day!

Congratulations! I love how the colors mesh so well, and everything is so serene. I would say to make sure you have plenty of baskets or containers to put things in. You accumulate a lot of stuff when you have kids.

I love your inspiration picks! Our nursery is small so we went with functionality and simplicity and not too many decorations since we ran out of time.
