ornament love

hope you are all enjoying december so far and thank you so much for the support and kind words about my most recent pregnancy struggle yesterday- it means so much to me. i appreciate the prayers as i just keep telling myself that it won’t last and it’s so worth it. ♥ i adore this community of loving people so much. today, i wanted to share some of my favorite ornaments for christmas this year. ornaments become treasures and tend to become meaningful to us. growing up, my maternal grandma gave all eleven grandchildren a new ornament every year. having these now is something so special to me. do you have special childhood ornaments? now, mr. monaco and i love to collect ornaments from our travels, which always brings back so many good memories when we unwrap them together each year. as i have mentioned in the past, i am not a traditional holiday decorator… our house is full of golds, creams, grays, pinks, and mint colors during the holidays- lots of glitter and vintage pieces. we are loving our second flocked tree {bringing ‘snow’ to north carolina in our own way!} however, once our kids are around four, i would love to put a mini tree in their bedrooms for traditional decor {reds/greens} and as a place to hang our childhood ornaments/their handmade creations. {those are the best!} here are some of my favorites for this year! many are diy tutoritals {happy crafting} and some are from stores:

You are a Charlotte girl, aren't you? My hubby and I moved to Charlotte in August 🙂

I love Christmas ornaments. My parents give me a new one each year of whatever I happen to be into at the time. There are so many and they are a lot of fun. Those huge ornaments look like a lot of fun as well.

I love these! Some great DIY ideas here. My favorite is the diamond! We did the same thing in my family – a new ornament every year. Usually it would be something that reminded us what happened that year, like a trip or big birthday. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
