today we lost one of country music’s best– my heart is saddened by the loss of one of my all time favorites – a true legend.
… i grew up listening to him on my grandparent’s and parent’s record players- and have always adored him and his songs – especially ‘he stopped loving her today’
so beautiful.
“Today someone else has become the greatest living singer of traditional country music, but there will never be another George Jones,” said Bobby Braddock, the Country Music Hall of Fame songwriter who provided Jones with 29 songs over the decades.
“No one in country music has influenced so many other artists.”
although i now live in charlotte, i am from the country. … and am proud of where i am from- a place of hard work, faith, friendliness, and love – a place that loves george jones.
