second trimester essentials + a morning power smoothie recipe

now that i am into my third trimester of this pregnancy
{and am loving it at the moment! being pain-free/being able to move again is aWeSoMe}
i wanted to share some of my favorites from the second trimester:
maternity tights: i love my pair from target {$16.99} but my mom and i also found some at wal-mart for {$7.99} both are super comfortable! i also love old navy– they have a few other colors besides black. and again, so comfortable. i waited way too long to purchase- do it early!!

a pregnancy pillow: there are a lot of great options! i picked one up at target and love it. i am sleeping great at this point and definitely think this has been a factor!

tea: i love the hot cinnamon tea {decaf} from the fresh market most

bath salts: k.hall studios out of st. louis is my favorite to use when enjoying a nice warm bath- peony being my favorite scent.

smoothies: i crave anything refreshing, cold, and crisp… so smoothies have become a love of mine. below is a more detailed recipe for the one i shared last week! hope you enjoy- it’s amazing and very healthy.

tums: from time to time, i experienced acid reflex and tums were a life-saver!

coconut oil: trader joe’s is my favorite… i rub it on my belly almost every night and so far, no stretch marks!

yoga: my favorite way to reduce stress and anxiety- it truly impacts my entire life and has made me a happier and calmer person. ♥

ASOS dresses: my go-to for wedding/casual/cute dresses

fruit infused water: i can’t get enough water and love putting some fruit in it to spice it up!

we started to deck our halls last night- excited to share our holiday decor with you all!
super thrilled for the most magical time of the year

You look amazing! I love that baby belly shot! I always enjoyed the third semester the best. Sure, it gets to be LONG and towards the end you have definite moments of being very much done, but I really liked being this huge belly of love. 🙂

I'm nearing the end of my second trimester, and agree with all of these! I didn't want to spend the money on a pregnancy pillow, so I've just been using a body pillow. My husband hates it, but I think he would hate it even more if I was tossing and turning all night. Coconut oil is an absolutely must! I've incorporated some shea butter and essential oils into mine to create a belly butter. And I'm OBSESSED with morning smoothies! Will definitely try this recipe. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Thank you for the smoothie recipe! I want to be a smoothie girl SO BAD! I need to be, too! I don't eat nearly enough veggies and I also need to get some more calcium in my diet, so I think a smoothie could help in both of those areas. How much peanut butter would you guess is in one of Bassey's "blocks," a tablespoon or two?

Also, I still can't believe you waited so long to get maternity tights. So glad you get to enjoy them now in the last couple weeks!

you are so welcome! i think you will love it! and yes, it looked like about a tablespoon and tasted just like peanut butter- but way more healthy! let me know if you try it! and most of my tights didn't 'hurt' until that final week {31-32 weeks} but then discovering maternity tights was WAY BETTER- way.better.
