simply loving

my age
as i entered my thirties two years ago a lot of things started to change in my life- my priorities, my opinions, my friendships, my demeanor… i started to associate with people who make me feel wanted/i can be myself around; people who make me feel at peace and make me want to be a better person. opinions have become less important to me… i feel like unless someone is at danger, people should be able to live their life the way they prefer {this goes with parenting, too – my goal with entering parenthood is to try to never judge others for his/her choices regarding raising their own kids- i hope to trust that they know what is best for their kids and thanks to my mom {i big believer in ‘letting kids be kids’} & lots of years of babysitting, i know that kids will act out… and i just hope to do the very best that i can throughout each stage.
i have now developed my own style, health has become more important to me, a close set of friends {versus a lot} has changed my life, my faith is stronger, my political views are more ‘moderate’ as i try to look at all sides of a situation.
…  simply living a passionate life – with a kind heart- is now my one goal.
i love to stay home more, i take in moments more, and appreciate small things more.
{it’s always a work in progress… but my soul is definitely loving my thirties so far!}

fun hooks
i have big plans to incorporate some fun hooks around our new home! stay tuned.
have you done anything like this? any advice on materials/where to buy cool hooks?

sprinkles
on ice cream, donuts, brownies, cake… almost any type of dessert.
i am pretty sure i will never outgrow my love for sprinkles.

baby boy clothes + aden and anais
yesterday, i had an iced coffee date with a dear friend who gave baby boy a cute gift, we chatted {i always love our conversations/she is so good to me} we cleared out her old classroom and then went to baby gap where i bought my first ever baby boy clothes… it was so fun! i loved how many cute pieces there were and enjoyed our time together! below is my purchase, some inspirational outfits i adore, along with some aden + anais pieces {my sister and i love all of their items!} nordstrom has their anniversary sale right now and luckily a lot of their blankets, bibs, bedding, etc. are on sale!

my gap purchase… everything i bought was on sale -with another 50% off.
i love the green cargo jacket i bought him for $7! the onesies were all around $3 each!
the daily press in noda- charlotte
it’s a coffee shop by day and a small music venue/bar by night!
all about some cute baby leggings!

persian rugs
i hoping to eventually purchase some rugs for our home…. i love a combo of natural, faux sheepskin,  black & white patterns, and fun pops of colors regarding rugs. *everything about this photo – i love.

what are you simply loving lately?
have a great weekend!

Baby clothes are the best! Everything you got is so cute! When my fiance's cousin was pregnant, I went shopping for baby clothes right when they found out she was going to have a girl. It's just so much fun!

I love this post. I agree with you, my thirties have changed me in such a good way. I love my 30's. I feel more confident, passionate and positive. I have a "I'm going to do me attitude" and be the best person I can be.

As for cute hooks, look at Hobby Lobby. They have pretty knobs and drawer pulls, i'm not sure about hooks. I keep saying i'm going to buy some and make me a pretty necklace holder or scarf holder.

Baby clothes are all so cute. I just read a post on how to get baby clothes at Baby Gap on sale, I see you found that though:)

Happy Weekending!! Enjoy all the sprinkles you can!

I love how kids clothing is more individualistic now. They have more opportunities, I feel, to figure out who they are or what they're personal style is…if they think about that stuff at all. not sure how much I thought about that when I was at a young age haha! Your blog is very inspirational and feels uplifting and bubbly! Thanks for sharing this with us!

When I was reading the part about your age I just kept nodding yes! The older I get the more focused I am on myself, my health, close circles of friends & family etc and it's so nice! Love all the cute clothes you found at Gap!

My thirties are much more relaxed, yet focused than my twenties. I know more of what I want and don't want. I love, love, love all the baby boy clothes. I have three boys and love to dress them in cute stuff, and I love the Gap too.

Love the hooks! If there's a habitat restore in your are, definitely look there! It's like a thrift store, specifically for home goods, and it supports habitat for humanity!

I completely agree with you about life in my 30s. I have had the same changes of heart on things. Why are we so judgmental when we're younger? We think we know it all, and then in our 30s, we realize we know nothing! Haha!

    1. nelle monaco

      July 20, 2015 at 5:09 pm

yes! i totally agree- so judgmental! 🙂 def. not ok! this is more peaceful and i am so much happier!

Loving basically everything in this post 🙂 🙂 Sprinkles are ALWAYS a must and I'm like you- I put them on everything. Whenever we get Froyo, sprinkles are the only topping I'll ever add. And, um… the baby leggings? MELT.
