the guy behind the blog {volume one}

so excited to team up with betsy at heavens to betsy for
‘the guy behind the blog’ series
i have enjoyed getting to meet the men behind my favorite blogs
i asked mr. monaco the six questions for february and here are his answers:
meet mr. monaco- the guy behind simply love
1.  if you could write a book, what topic would you write about and why?
mr. monaco: the revolutionary war- one of my great passions in life is history, especially the revolutionary war. it was how this great country began. i love the
stories of our fore fathers, the belief system that they instilled in
the people, and how we continue to strive for the fundamental
principles they bestowed upon us so long ago.

nelle: it’s true- my husband is the most patriotic man in the whole u.s.a. he likes to rock an american flag belt often and when the star spangled banner is playing at home – he stands/takes his hat off if he’s wearing one. he’s a good, all-american, man.

2.  what is one thing on your bucket list, or one thing that you’d like to do or accomplish in your lifetime?
mr. monaco: a trip around the world. this is something i would love to do with mrs. monaco. we both love to
travel and it would be something amazing to do that we could always
remember (the blog post the day after would be ridiculous!).

nelle: let’s go!!
3.  if you could look out your window and only see one view for the rest of your life, what would you want to see?
mr. monaco: my lovely wife
nelle: {awe- thank you!}
4.  imagine you’re opening a shop. what are you selling?
mr. monaco:  a gym (haha yeah, right) a men’s grooming shop. i went to emerson joseph the morning of our wedding and it was quite an
experience. my bro and i got shaves while the rest of my groomsmen
played pool and drank beer.
nelle: and this post is already scheduled for wednesday march 4 {fun fact about this date- and totally off topic- but it’s the only day of the year that’s a command!}
5.  if you could have 50lbs of anything other than money, what would it be?
mr. monaco: 50lbs of pappy van winkle. i love everything about bourbon. the history, the taste, the comradery i
have with the gentlemen i drink with, the precision and patience it
takes to make a good bottle, and so much more.

6.  time to brag on your girl…tell us one thing that makes you proud of your girlfriend/fiance/wife!
mr. monaco: when she has an idea, she puts it to life no matter what. such a hard worker and so passionate. {again- so sweet! ♥ him.}

my valentine’s day gift to him last year

    Such a fun series! I had my husband share confessions of a newly married man back in August as a mini series. It's so fun to have our guys join in on the blogging!

    BEAUTIFUL WEDDING DRESS, by the way. I'm seeing a theme here…all the men love how hardworking their wives are. And all the bloggers seem to be hardworking…makes sense!
