weekend snapshots

first of all, thank you so much for all the love about my post friday … lots of comments, texts, and emails. so glad many of you agree and are striving for positivity and a little less technology– and a little more living! in addition, i absolutely loved this post this morning from chelsea, at the girl who loved to write called, remember: you are spending your life.  beautiful and so true. today, i am grateful for a weekend around our city of charlotte, north carolina – one of our last almost ‘free’ weekends until november. here are a few snapshots from it. hope you had a great weekend? anything exciting/fun happen?!
saturday morning, i woke up early and spent time at one of my favorite markets in the southend area of the city called, atherton market. it’s full of fresh produce, plants, baked goods, local honey, pasta, gifts, and more.
i enjoyed a latte, a piece of homemade zucchini bread, sat outside and read … and then ventured over to the cUtEst anthropologie store i have possibly ever visited.
 {right up there with the one in georgetown- dc in my opinion, which is in a quaint little blue house}

it’s new as of 9.4.15 and is attached to the market- my perfect combo
baby boy is poppin’ you all
i love to just walk around and take it all in 🙂
so cute, right?!
we then ventured over to a friend’s house for their son’s first birthday party
he’s so cute and we had a great time!
that evening, we enjoyed a night of binge watching the show, parenthood, on netflix
it’s just.so.good.
definitely my favorite show of all time.
we just started season six last night and i really don’t want it to end,
but can’t get enough at the same time.
it’s so beautifully written and i am so in love with every character.
{esp. amber, crosby, hank, joel, adam, kristina, and sarah}
i worked a lot in the baby’s nursery this weekend – it’s so far from done- yet is already my favorite room in the house! we picked up our changing table {more details soon!} and the crib is set-up – it’s simple and mid-century modern- i love it.
i came home saturday afternoon to the most thoughtful cards and gifts from two cousins on my dad’s side- so sweet and totally made my day! love them so much
i have been vintage shopping for baby boy on insta
{i love more of a j.crew {little man style} winter look and a vintage summer look for boys!}
and have found some really cute rompers for next summer – for around $8-10 shipped

yesterday, we tailgated in uptown charlotte for the carolina panthers game

lots of delcious food and fun times with friends
{and a win for carolina and cincinnati!}

…what is your heart grateful for this week…

    Looks like you had a blast this past weekend. I love when our weekends are filled with fun and excitement. But I also love when the weekend is filled with relaxing bumming on the couch watching tv shows haha.

    This weekend I was grateful to spend a lot of time with my husband and to be able to catch up on a lot of house stuff that we have been REALLY behind on. It is really amazing what a big difference that can make!!

    There is so much cuteness in this post! And that light coming through the windows of Anthro?! WOW, gorgeous! (Sometimes I want to just live in Anthro stores.. just lie down on the bed and hope no one sees me) 😉 I hope all is well, sweet friend!
