nightingales
i saw this today and wanted to share
in honor of all of the loving mom readers i have
{thank you for reading and for sending constant encouragement}
A baby asked God, “They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?” God said, “Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.” The baby asked, “who will protect me?” God said, “Your angel will defend you even if it means risking her life.” The baby said, “God, please tell me my angel’s name.” God said, “you will simply call her Mommy.”
awe, so true. right?
…
with God’s grace and the Holy spirit surrounding us,
i hope to always protect my son
and i know all of you feel the same way.
…
and this reminds me a lot of the book, the nightingale, by kristin hannah
which i just finished today
it was fantastic. wow.
i highly recommend it
especially if you love world war II history as much as i do
it painted the most vivid picture of france during the war
and the many struggles women dealt with
it was captivating, terrifying; an exceptional story of survival
i could not put it down.
{hence no blog post yesterday!}
{hence no blog post yesterday!}
it made me feel, it made me think, and it made me feel grateful for the life i have been given.
such a beautiful story
have you read it?

So sweet! I read The Nightingale last fall and also loved it…and I'm not a big history buff at all. Glad you enjoyed it!
